Pay Your Zakat
Pay your Zakat
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam; it is a religious duty for all Muslims who meet the necessary criteria of wealth. It is a required charitable contribution, often considered to be a tax – by donating a percentage of your wealth to help those less fortunate than yourself. The whole point of Zakat annual payment is to support those most in need and to ease the suffering of Muslim people around the world.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY?
Zakat is calculated at a rate of 2.5 percent. You can estimate how much you’ll have to pay by multiplying your finances by 2.5 percent. For instance, if you have £25,000 and have owned it for a year, you will calculate as follows: The same formula applies to any month, 25,000 ×0.025 = £625.
HOW DO ACIS - spend your money
The majority of the work that ACIS do is eligible for Zakat. ACIS plays a crucial role in channelling your Zakat toward meaningful projects that can truly transform lives of the needy for ever. We carry out various projects, including distributing food and water, improving access to education, conducting Ramadan Feeding Programs, distributing School Meals, implementing the Madrasah Program, sponsoring children, and orphans, and supporting some of the most disadvantaged communities in rural parts of Guinea. Your zakat will make a difference in people’s lives and will serve as a sadaqah jariyah for you.
